Michael is a native of Arkansas and a product of the Little Rock Public Schools. He has performed as a saxophonist and vocalist since the mid-90's. When he takes center stage, he'll take your breath away with his smooth sax and soulful sultry vocal style.

    Michael began showing interest in music as a child. The piano was the first instrument of study. At 11 years of age, he began studying the tenor saxophone, and continued through senior high school. Michael performed as a child in elementary school on piano and sang in school plays. His next big performance was in junior high school, where he played a tenor saxophone solo rendition to "Feelings". It was in his tenth grade that he join the high school choir, which honed his vocal skills. During his senior year, he entered into the high school talent show, he sang Larry Graham's "One In A Million You". This final solo performance would demonstrate his vocal ability.

    After high school at the historical Little Rock, Central High, Michael enlisted into the US Army. While on over-seas tour-of-duty, he joined a local band and worked as a background vocalist and keyboardist. The band performed in the clubs and in the presence of high-ranking military audiences. Even then, Michael performed solo acts when the opportunity arrived.

    In the spring of 1992, Michael's military service time came to an end and he returned to the United States. In 1993, he made his way into the music scene on the alto saxophone. Music wasn't a source of income and nor had he plan it to be, but that all changed by the end of 1996. While working his day job, Michael would perform at night. The name "Michael Eubanks" was in the eyes and ears of the people who came to be his fans. The request for his performance became more and more in demand and thus, Michael answered the call and rose to the occasion.

     From the winter of 1996 to the mid-spring of 1998, Michael became well-known in South Arkansas and Monroe, Louisiana for his instrumental and vocal abilities. It was not until the Summer of 1998 that Michael Eubanks hit the music scene big in Central Arkansas. Although, it was not music that brought him back to the area, but a massive heartache that afflicted his step-father. While home, Michael played in places around town; The Afterthought, Chops at The Icehouse; La Change’s Lounge and a host of private events. The promoters for "Jazz Lights 98" asked him to be he opening act after they heard him workin' it out at La Changes Lounge. Michael's popularity increased in that summer of 1998 when he performed at the River Market Amphitheatre in Little Rock, Arkansas, as the opening act for Jazz Lights 98", which featured legendary and internationally acclaim recording artist Jonathan Butler, Gerald Albright, and famed, legendary jazz guitarist, Earl Klugh. This exposure made his a household name, which opened up many opportunities for him.

    In early 2000, you could catch Michael performing for the men and women of the Little Rock Air Force Base.

    The Summer of 2002, Michael Performed in "Sax in the Park" and "Sax in the Park II", held on North Little Rock's Burns Park outdoor stage. In which both show were sponsored by him.

    Spring 2003, Michael gave a high-energy opening at "The North Shores Explosion". Featuring the legendary R&B Recording Artist  J. Blackfoot and Betty Wright.

    December 2003, Michael released a Christmas CD entitled "Christmas At Michael's" which he promoted by frequenting the locate television stations, Channel 11's "Weather Garden", Channel 7's "Good Morning Arkansas" and Channel 4. You can hear his music during the Christmas Holiday on KOKY (102.1 FM), KABF (88.3 FM) and KAUP (89.7 FM).

    Since his return, Michael has provided dinner music and after-party entertainment for the Arkansas Black of Fame, 2002-04, The Arkansas Black Legislative Caucus, The Arkansas Art Center Annual Volunteer Banquet and Award Ceremony, Little Rock based, Ben E. Keith, a host of country clubs and many private parties for businesses and organizations.

    Summer "2004", Michael currently released a new CD, entitled "On a Day Like This..." He strategically sponsored two concerts to promote this CD. The first stage with September 26th, in Little Rock's Macarthur Park, entitled "Sax In The Park III, The CD Release" and the second November 14th, at The Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom, "An Evening of Jazz".

   Michael was recently nominated as Play Power Magazine's "2005,Well Rounded Entertainer of The Year". As you can see, "The Man" stays busy.  What’s next for Michael? Well, you can rest assure that he's got something in the oven.  In 2007, he became apart of the Arkansas Art Council's, Artist On-Tour-Roster and in 2008, an Arkansas Art Council's, Artist In-Education.
